As long as the other insurance company accepts liability, determines that the other driver is at fault, they will pay for the damages to your car up to the liability limits of that specific policy. Here in California you only have to carry a minimum of $5,000 in property damage limits. This means that if I rear end your car and its my fault, but it causes $10,000 worth of damage to your car, my insurance will only pay you $5,000. I am not sure what the minimum in PA is, but usually it&#039;s $10,000, CA has a ridiculously low minimum.</description>

Liability pays for property damage to other peoples property and injuries for which you are legally liable.
